Strange Days is one of the most underrated films here. Set in the last days of 1999, it's built around recordings that let you experience someone else's memories through all of your senses. The neuroscience is pure fiction - we're nowhere near being able to do that. But the rest of it? People craving immersive virtual experiences, filming everything from their own point of view, and footage of police violence becoming the centre of a political storm. That all feels very familiar now. It's dark, messy and a bit long, but well worth a look.
